Existentialism is perhaps one of my favorite schools of philosophical thought. Existentialism is all about creating meaning in your life. Existentialists are typically atheists; where the theist believes in an inherent purpose in life, perhaps one given to them by God, the atheist has to create a purpose or a meaning in his or own life. We often say that someone is having an existentialist crisis when he or she is trying to figure out what he or she wants to do with his life – what the meaning of life is, why life is worth living.

*Debbienote: Dearest readers, this is a subject that is of utmost importance to me. As you may or may not know, this is a cause to which I have dedicated my life – that is, sexual assault-related outreach/advocacy/etc. 

We all know what rape is, and anyone can be trained on sensitivity towards rape victims and how to handle such situations. This particular thought that I have stolen echoes many of my own thoughts about the “rape culture” in our country. In any case, it’s short, and I suggest that you read it. Then, talk to me about abstinence-only “sex education” that is frequently offered in schools.

Breaking News: Rapists are Heterosexual!

As reported by LGBTQNation:

LOS ANGELES — Jerry Sandusky — the former Penn State assistant coach charged with 40 counts of child sexual abuse — is “a gay guy” but the “gay lobby” won’t let you say that, according to conservative political commentator Rush Limbaugh.

[A caller to Rush Limbaugh's radio show] on Friday said that “we’re always told that homosexuals are not pedophiles, but in this case, he sure was. And the same thing with Michael Jackson.”

I’ve got insight into the Gay Agenda, and I don’t want to address these points regarding homosexuality. I do, however, want to report on heterosexuality.
